We enjoy Girgarre Moosic Muster and Jigarre Jammin’ so much that some of us have got together to make the music last longer! These groups perform around the area, although currently in recess due to the pandemic.
THE PURE DROP
The Pure Drop plays songs from the Australian and Celtic traditions of hardship, love or murder and mayhem, plus some more light-hearted themes. A group of seven very active retirees, available for Aged Care, Fundraising concerts, Morning and Afternoon Melodies. Lively and loud. Wallace on fiddle, harmonica; Irene on guitar, accordion; Shane on banjo, guitar, whistle; Pete on harp, guitar, mandolin; Geoff on fiddle; Bernadine on guitar; Lyn on bass ukulele.
Also known as J-Ukes, this fun group meets at the Girgarre Community Cottage in Olympic Street. Beginners to advanced and every stage in between, our aim is to have fun and learn something with other people who share our passion for our small instrument. Soprano, concert, baritone, tenor, bass, we have them all. We come from a wide area around Girgarre.
For $2, the Cottage folk welcome us and we chat, play, learn, laugh and have a cuppa on the 1st, 3rd and, sometimes, 5th Wednesday every month from February to November, from 1.30pm to 4pm. If you would like to join us, contact Lyn on 5859 0297 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or just turn up, you’ll be most welcome!

Goldfields Ukestra was formed from a small group of friends who began learning ukulele basics in 2015. In 2017 we adopted the name Goldfields Ukestra and in 2019, due to considerable growth in membership, we became an Incorporated Association.
As a community group we support the learning needs of ukulele players of all abilities within the Bendigo area, providing members with a safe, inclusive and supportive environment to learn and advance their ukulele craft. Through participation in community events, members are exposed to valuable performance experiences which give them opportunities to share their joy of the humble Ukulele with others.

THE RAMBLING SIULERS
Traditional folksy songs from the Olde Country and, maybe, a touch of the blues. A versatile and entertaining duo.
