Girgarre Playgroup is free for the community.
It is run by the Community Cottage and held at the Kindergarten premises.
All preschool children (and their parents) are encouraged to attend.
Mondays 10-12pm
Commences second week of each term (closed school holidays)
Please bring a piece of fruit for snack time
Under the guidance of Playgroup Coordinator, parents stay and play with their children, encouraging socialisation, engaging in creativity and having lots of fun. Many facets of learning are experienced alongside the building of self-esteem.
Food relief packages and nursery supplies are also available to families at Playgroup.

Girgarre Community Kindergarten is nestled in rural Victoria and first opened its doors in the 1960's. Since then hundreds of children, along with their families and friends, have enjoyed an amazing preschool education.

Girgarre Primary School provides a safe, invigorating learning environment. Our committed staff cater for the individual learning needs of our students and teach with passion. The spacious learning environment boasts the latest technology with interactive whiteboards in each learning area. Student to computer ratio is 1:1 and computer usage is incorporated within the curriculum.
Junior School Council is an active body who give a voice to our students in the daily running of the school. Our vibrant School Council takes an active role in the governance of Girgarre Primary and takes pride in the school. The Parents Club is a highly motivated group focused on providing healthy lunches weekly and raising money to further improve our facilities. The school is an important educational hub to the wider Girgarre community.
Girgarre Primary provides a wide range of extra curricula activities including Blue Earth, Sporting School, a Breakfast Program and a comprehensive camping program. We also run the Kathy Walker Investigative play program in the F-2 classroom.
Girgarre Primary is a member of the Campaspe Small Schools Cluster which provides our staff and students further interaction throughout the year with sporting days, science days, arts performances, staff in servicing and team planning.
