It's All Go For Green Thumbs
It’s hard to miss the huge smiles on the faces of Girgarre’s Friends of Gargarro volunteers at the moment. The joy, and the sense of excitement in the air is almost palpable. They’re watching, with justifiable pride, as the first of the buildings (pictured) destined to be Girgarre’s new Green Thumbs Nursery takes shape over on the Winter Road site.
“We’ve waited years for this to happen.” Green Thumbs Co-ordinator, Loraine Warde said recently. “This is the day. The footings went down on Thursday 17th December and the shed is going up at a cracking pace. The hard yards the volunteers have put in to get this off the ground has paid off. It’s just wonderful to see action at last”.
