About the Event

The Mainstreet Band has been a popular act on the music circuit now for 20 years. They are known for their generous support of worthy projects and the Committee of the Gargarro Botanic Gardens Inc. sincerely thank them for donating their music in support of the Gardens.

The band has a core group of talented musicians featuring, vocals, guitars, drums and violins. They are a regular feature at many and varied festivals and fundraisers.

Beginning with a classic set blues rock and rock and roll, the afternoon will also include a tribute to Anzac Day led by Mary Petts and William Pitts, followed by the mellow tones of Skye Tavai, a Cook Islander vocalist now living in Australia who will be accompanied by acclaimed guitarist, Joe Gigliotti from Music Land. The afternoon will wind up with another classic set by the band, joined on stage by their guest artists, for a grand finale.

Entry is $2. The main gate on Winter Road will be open from 1pm and you will need to sign in (or use your QR code). Bring your own chair, drinks and nibbles, or buy a coffee from Joel’s Van. Invite a friend or two and be prepared for a pleasant afternoon supporting your local Gargarro Gardens project.
